Raelynne: 2 Years 2 Months

Little girl has turned 2 years 2 months old today (26 months) with the biggest milestone being going diaperless for the past two weeks already. Yes, even overnight, she has been diaperless and she manage to wake up to go to the toilet as well. However, of course on two occassion she had accident, usually towards the morning time where she wet her bed. Other than that, 99% of the time, it is going smoothly.
Weight: 9.60KG (few hundred grammes to reach 10kg!)
Height: approximately 83cm

Raelynne has been attending school since July and is currently on holiday. Well more of a playschool. I think sending her to school reap benefits as the way the talk now are in full sentences. However, this girl has a temper and I think its one of those toddler behaviours that they MUST get everything they way and parents must bow to their demands. Maybe I guess it is also signs of terrible twos!
Behaviour wise, if she’s in good mood, she’s okay, if she’s cranky or moody, all hell breaks loose. She will cry to get what she want. So sometimes we blow off our top as well which we shouldn’t be since they are just kids and won’t really understand that well yet.
Food wise, she’s still taking night feed and sometimes she take night feed more frequently than Raelan. Of course recently we found out that she can’t take prawns anymore, at least until she’s grown up where she can try on her own again. Paed said it may grow out of her and can resume taking prawns again when she grows up, else then she will need to avoid it all together for life. Apart from that, she basically eats anything including durian.

Raelan: Four Months Old

This is so backdated, Raelan actually turned 4 months old last Saturday on 16th August 2008. This Daddy is getting backdated too much.

Likes to suck two fingers at a time
Anyway, little boy has finally reached the age where we can feed him some solids, which Mummy did on a weekend. However it was not a smooth as expected. In fact, Raelan thought taking solids is too slow for him. He wants those fast going pace. Feeding by the spoon means he will cry each time he swallowed it before Mummy even had time to scoop up the next one.
Weight: 5.60KG
Height: 60cm
He has basically only put on 400grammes from previous month so maybe he is slowing down a bit or his food intake all go to his growth. He has grown additional 2cm.
He basically likes to sit down nowadays and refused to lie down. His neck has stiffen so that’s good as well, which makes it easy to carry him. Still takes milk every 4 to 5 hours with night feeding included. I think he has approximately 1 to 2 night feedings only. Sometimes Raelynne can have more night feed than him especially when she’s cranky or not feeling well.

Just few days ago, he caught the flu and fever from his sister but so far recovering well. I think for his age compared to his sister, he has less flu and fever since he was born which is good. I suspect he had more “doses” of breastmilk compared to his sister.

Food allergy

With Poh Poh… still okay, haven’t take prawns yet…
Last night we had dinner outside and it was the first time that we found out that Raelynne had food allergy. Apparently, she is allergic to prawns. Actually previously she took prawn fritters which my Mum usually minced the prawns and mixed with other vege and flour and she usually ate them without problem.
Last night she took freshly steamed prawns and we can see the reaction to it about half an hour later. It started with reddish on her bottom of her lips. When she got home, her ears turned red because she was scratching it. So went to the medical centre around 9pm and got checked by the MO. He said she should be ok by morning and prescribed some medicine.

And then late this morning, this happened! Look at her top of her nose and bottom of her eyes. All swollen. I guess the allergic reaction kicked started later on. So went to the paed again during lunch time and the paed said its a moderate allergic reaction which does not require injection. How fast she get better depends on how many prawns she ate last night. I think she took about 2-3 but 90% of it she just chew and took the juice and spit out the meat.

So Mummy keep telling her, you go see mirror. So she went and see the mirror and asked WHAT HAPPENED? So told her she ate prawns and her face all swollen like balloon. Told her cannot eat prawns anymore and she obliged… but dunno if she would really obliged or not when she see those prawns….
Update on the kids

Mummy home made these numbers so that Raelynne can learn them (which she knows already)
Shucks, work seems to be never ending lately. Without an assistant does put extra burden on me. Thankfully, my new assistant is coming on board next month. Maybe by then I can take up more post like Orovo detox. I felt like there’s not much updates on the kids lately.

Looks a bit chubby here eh?
Basically, my kids are slightly grown up especially Raelynne, who is really smart at arguing with you now. Sometimes you will pull your hair when you talk to her as she will either follow what you said or there’s a smart reply to it. I noticed that Raelynne observes in full concentration of everything that you do. Which is how I found out that she knows how to turn on the DVD player, take out the CD from the box, put it into the DVD, play the CD, change the TV from normal channel to Video mode. I was like… WHAT? Since when did she know how to do that????

The happy little chap… enjoys being naked… really.
The boy is getting bigger as well and smarter too. And picky as well. He only prefers pacifier which is flat and not the round type. So does his milk bottle. So Avent is out for him at the moment when Mummy bought him a new MAMbaby bottle which has a flat teat.

Once put on his clothes, he will put on a sour face…
Little boy is also getting playful nowadays and can laugh outloud is you make him laugh. He is turning 4 months tomorrow and I was thinking he was turning 5 months. LOL. Imagine, I lost track of my son’s age! Raelan does grow quite fast, faster than his sister when she was his age.
They both survived the rotavirus which the cousin caught last week. We “quarantined” them until the rest got well which works. Also sanitised the big sister’s hands all the time and our hands as well.
Shall try and take more photos soon as I noticed the current month one is pretty low on photos
.
Busy
Anyway, I need to catch up with my photography of my kids. My camera is collecting dust thus need to take it out and warm it up soon. And then I seriously need a break! Can’t wait for the next assistant to come next month.
> Baby clothes
In fact Raelynne and Raelan also have plenty of clothes which don’t fit them anymore, thus if there’s anyone who is interested to have these clothes, do let me know ya?
> Checks
Recently, the national governing bank announced that with the new check format, companies do not need to put their company stamp on it and just required all the authorised signatories to sign. The check will then be electronic cleared and funds can be transferred or cleared within 1 working day.
They will also eliminate outstation check fees with the new clearance format.
The selection of baby names is becoming major problem for parents. The parents are getting help from different relatives even from consultants. After this, feeding with bottles is another major issue fro babies. Many health conscious mothers are avoiding for plastic bottles because it is considered as not better for health of babies. But, instead of these, glass bottles are more selling because of its wide range of variety.
